Last year’s “Railyard Community Cruise” arrives at San Francisco St., a wonderful way to get to the plaza.

The CommUnity Cruise will visit the Rail Trail, Acequia Trail, River Trail, and a couple of new urban trails that you may have never seen before – such as this piece of the Arroyo de las Mascaras Trail built last year.

Come on the first-ever “CommUNITY Cruise” bike ride to the City’s CommUNITY Day event on Santa Fe Plaza.  We will meet at our traditional starting spot on the Rail Trail next to Second Street Brewery on 2nd St.

This is a fun, slow bike ride for anyone who would like to learn about our urban trails, mellow streets, and how to connect them to travel around the city by bike.  It follows a decade-old tradition of Community Cruises in Santa Fe.

This cruise also serves as an unofficial kick-off to “Bike to Work Week,” featuring a slew of bike events capped by a celebration of National Bike to Work Day on the afternoon of Friday, May 20, at Fort Marcy Park – seguing right into the Outside Bike and Brew Festival.

The CommUNITY Cruise on May 14 will arrive at the plaza for the start of the City’s celebration, also known as “El Día de la Gente,” which will last until 3 pm.  More information on that event is available at
