Our 2016 Honorees
Please join us as we celebrate our work and acknowledge three individuals who have been instrumental in the success of our main program areas: land, trails and skies.
SKY – Peter Lipscomb, award-winning astrophotographer, is one of the state’s leading advocates for dark sky protection. In 1999, he worked with lawmakers to adopt the Night Sky Protection Act. Over the years, Peter has introduced thousands to the wonders of the night sky.
LAND – Dale Ball was the first Executive Director of the Santa Fe Conservation Trust. He and a small group of dedicated individuals saw the need to protect Santa Fe’s precious open space and iconic landscape. Dale passed away this year, but his legacy remains with us forever.
TRAILS – Christopher Larsen, former SFCT Board Member, has long been involved in the conservation movement. It was his love of hiking that led him to provide key financial support for the planning and development of the Grand Unified Trail System (GUTS).
Together we continue to protect the land, the trails and the sky that you love.
COCKTAIL RECEPTION – 5:00 PM
